Crossing Bridges
Youth helping other youth with problems related to substance use. You can get assistance for yourself or to support you through someone else's use. These youth have been in similar situations and are trained to counsel other youth both individually and in groups.

GROUPS:
Tuesdays at 4:00
This group is for young people who are having difficulties with substance abuse. You can get support from other youth who have been in similar situations and have been successful in their goals to cut down or quit using substances. You may want to cut out certain substances, or quit all together: Either way we will support you. This is an open group so you can join at any time. Please do not come under the influence of drugs or alcohol, out of respect for all group members.
Wednesdays at 4:00
This group is for young people who have family members or friends who are abusing substances. The youth leaders of this group have personal experiences and training to help others who are going through this. This is an open group, so you may come at any time.
All Stratford groups are located at Crossing Bridges headquarters in the back of Knox Presbyterian Church.
There is no religious affiliation to these groups.
- ST. MARY'S
PEER SUPPORT GROUP: Mondays at 3:30
This group is for young people who are experienceing any kinds of problems with drugs and/or alcohol in their lives. They may be thinking about changes in their own use, or coping with someone else's use. The youth leaders of personal experiences and training to help others, and the group is co-facilitated by a youth counsellor.
St. Marys group is located at the Pyramid Rec Centre - Enter through the Friendship Centre doors
Outreach to Youth Centre
Our peer counsellors provide prevention programming and support to youth at the St. Mary's Youth Centre on Wednesdays at 6:30 pm.
- MITCHELL:
Outreach services provided to the youth at the Mitchell Youth Centre on Thursdays from 6-8pm. Peer support is provided in the form of prevention programming and individual/group support if requested.
- LISTOWEL:
Private and Confidential support group at the Upper Deck Youth Centre, 280 Wallace Ave, on Monday evenings from 7-9pm. Group is run by Steve Whalen, Youth Counsellor at Choices for Change and Brittany Bahadoor, peer mentor.
