Alcohol is a force not to be reckoned with. If you are going to drink it, drink it responsibly!
Alcohol is a "depressant" drug which means it slows down parts of your brain that affects thinking, behaviour. breathing, and also your heart rate. It is dangerous in several ways. When under the influence of alcohol, you lose your sense of judgement, behaviour, and attitude which could result in violence, unwanted sexual contact, injury, or death. Youth, especially, should be very cautious with the use of alcohol because it could cause them to have impulsive or dangerous behaviour. EXTREME INTOXICATION CAN KILL!!! This could result in the youth to pass out, vomit, and possible choke. A person that is heavily intoxicated and unconscious must be put on their side to prevent them from choking if they happen to vomit. If you do consume alcohol, it is VERY important that you do not mix it with other drugs.
